The most expensive costs an owner can incur with their sailboats come from not spotting or ignoring minor issues before they turn into serious trouble. My rig inspection is an extremely thorough survey of everything between your chainplates and masthead. You’ll receive a detailed written report that’s segregated into standing rigging, running rigging, mast, boom, deck hardware, as well as a spec sheet of your rig. The report includes photos and a recommended maintenance separated into 3 levels of priority to attend any problems that are found. If any “red flags” are observed you will be notified right away so that the issue can be corrected.
Annual servicing is critical for the longevity of your rigging, not only to avoid expensive repairs, but also to retain a higher resale value. A rig maintenance and tune includes cleaning and servicing turnbuckles, replacing and/or re-coating good fasteners with anti seize, replacing any malfunctioning hardware, and tuning your rig for your desired sailing performance.
